Hoy miércoles 2 de febrero teníamos planeado nuestro regreso a Estados Unidos, sin embargo la tormenta Landon cambió nuestros planes y ayer tomamos la decisión de quedarnos unos días más en Argentina. Lo interesante fue que a pocas horas de esos cambios Ceci Rodriguez, amiga y quien inauguró el ciclo Amigas y Amigos Artistas me envió un mensaje preguntándome si todavía estaba por Baires y entonces propuso ir al Café Tortoni @cafetortoni para reencontrarnos después siglos sin vernos 🙂

Si esto no es una sincronía las sincronías dónde están 😉

Today, Wednesday February 2nd we had planned our return to the United States, however the Landon storm changed our plans and yesterday we decided to stay a few more days in Argentina. The interesting thing was that a few hours after those changes Ceci Rodriguez, friend and who inaugurated the cycle Artistic Friends sent me a message asking me if I was still in Baires and then proposed to go to the Café Tortoni @cafetortoni to meet again after centuries without seeing each other 🙂

If this is not a synchrony, where are the synchronies 😉

Como llegué un ratito antes a nuestra cita, aproveché a tomar algunas fotos de la Avenida de Mayo mientras caminaba hacia el café y previamente pasé por la Galería Güemes sobre la calle Florida. Este era un lugar al que iba casi a diario mientras trabajaba por el centro y al que le presté muy poca atención. Si andas caminando por la zona te invito a que entres y mires hacia arriba porque esas cúpulas y los detalles del techo no están para perdérselos. Vuelvo a recomendarte que estés atento a las cosas que tenes a tu alrededor, van a hacer tu vida mucho más agradable 🙂

As I arrived a little early to our appointment, I took some pictures of Avenida de Mayo while walking to the cafe and previously passed by the Güemes Gallery on Florida Street. This was a place I went to almost every day while working downtown and to which I paid very little attention. If you are walking around the area I invite you to go in and look up because those domes and the details of the ceiling are not to be missed. Again I recommend you to be attentive to the things you have around you, they will make your life much more enjoyable 🙂

Hoy Ceci visitó por primera vez el Tortoni (fundado en 1858) y en mi caso había ido varias veces pero nunca había estado en la parte trasera con un pequeño teatro, una sala que antes fue una peluquería y otro espacio con mucho arte que recuerda a un Buenos Aires de otra época. Algo también para destacar fue la excelente atención de Miguel y Matías, soy una convencida que las personas son las hacen a la calidad de los lugares 😉

Today Ceci visited for the first time the Tortoni (founded in 1858) and in my case I had been there several times but I had never been in the back part with a small theater, a room that was once a hairdresser and another space with a lot of art that reminds us of a Buenos Aires of another era. Something also to highlight was the excellent attention of Miguel and Matias, I am convinced that people are what make the quality of the places 😉

Con Ceci conversamos sobre la vida, sobre los proyectos en los que está trabajando para seguir sorprendiéndonos con su arte y también en lo importante que es mirar todo lo que nos rodea con otros ojos, con una mirada atenta y de disfrute.

We talked with Ceci about life, about the projects she is working on to continue surprising us with her art and also about how important it is to look at everything that surrounds us with different eyes, with an attentive and enjoyable look.

Y además tuve dos sorpresas Lichu y Juli me enviaron unos regalitos con pandas. Una felicidad total de quedarme unos días más por acá 🙂

And I also had two surprises: Lichu and Juli sent me some gifts with pandas. A total happiness to stay a few more days here 🙂
