VIAJES CRONICAS ARTE

Cada vez que presento a una artista me gusta recordar cómo y en qué circunstancias conocí a esa persona. Con Vero me pasó algo bastante particular ya que ella formaba parte de un equipo de escritura (Mundial de Escritura @mundialdeescritura organizado por Santiago Llach @santiago.llach) al que me sumé en abril del 2023.  En uno de esos intercambios de WhatsApp con quienes compartíamos nuestros textos, Vero nos comentó que era artista y nos invitó a una muestra que realizaría en Brota Residencia de Artistas @brotaresidencia presentando algunos de sus collages que ilustraron diferentes artículos de la revista Marie Claire Argentina @marieclarirearg

Cuando vi su trabajo no dudé en ir a esa exhibición; quería ver las piezas originales que me habían despertado tanta curiosidad. Y fue allí que conocí, no sólo a una persona y artista con una gran sensibilidad, sino también a una gran escritora.

Estoy muy agradecida porque haya aceptado la invitación para ser parte de Amigas Artistas .

Every time I introduce an artist I like to remember how and in what circumstances I met that person. Something quite particular happened to me with Vero, since she was part of a writing team (Mundial de Escritura @mundialdeescritura organized by Santiago Llach @santiago.llach) which I joined in April 2023. In one of those WhatsApp exchanges with those who shared our texts, Vero told us that she was an artist and invited us to an exhibition she would be holding at Brota Residencia de Artistas @brotaresidencia showing some of her collages that illustrated different articles of Marie Claire Argentina magazine @marieclarirearg.

When I saw her artwork, I did not hesitate to go to that exhibition; I wanted to see the original pieces that had aroused my curiosity so much. And it was there that I met, not only a person and artist with a great sensitivity, but also a great writer.

I am very grateful that she accepted the invitation to be part of Artistic Friends.

Soy Verónica , abogada de profesión
y artista por pasión.
Autodidacta evolucioné impulsada por mi espíritu itinerante y el afán de transmitir la dicha, la opulencia,
la aflicción, el olvido, la indiferencia,
la magia, el misterio, el deseo, entre tantos otros sentimientos que desvelan al ser humano.

Mi obra nació del entusiasmo por fotografiar la vida, sus lugares y
el ansia de trascender a las imágenes, interviniéndolas con diversos
materiales, texturas y paletas de colores.
El soporte gráfico de mi obra nace de un gesto intuitivo, de una
relación amorosa entre la fotografía y el retrato que se apoya a la vez,
sobre el cimiento de mis propias palabras.
Prefiero la cooperación por sobre la competencia.
Todas mis obras nacen de observar que, en la era de la conectividad, estamos desconectados de nosotros mismos.
Desconocemos nuestro propio PULSO, lo que nos hace latir, lo que vibra con y en nosotros.

I am Verónica, a lawyer by profession
and artist by passion.
Self-taught, I evolved driven by my itinerant spirit and the desire to transmit the joy, the opulence, the affliction, the oblivion, the
magic, the mystery, the desire, among so many other feelings that reveal the human being.

My artwork was born out of the enthusiasm for photographing life, its places and the desire to transcend images, intervening them with different materials, textures and color palettes.
The graphic support of my work was born from an intuitive gesture, from a
loving relationship between photography and portrait that rests on the foundation of my own words.

I prefer cooperation over competition.
All my works are born from observing that, in the age of connectivity, we are disconnected from ourselves.
We do not know our own PULSO (PULSE) what makes us beat, what vibrates with and in us.

Me gusta mezclar lo lúdico con lo artístico.
Muchas veces, las palabras no alcanzan para expresar lo que sentimos o pensamos.
Entonces, precisamos imágenes.
A través de la meditación activa que se realiza recortando imágenes pegándolas en una hoja en blanco, recordamos quiénes somos.
Las actividades que elegimos hacer, los libros que elegimos leer,
las personas con las que elegimos conversar, son espejos que
nos reflejan nuestro propio ser, nuestra búsqueda.
Al encontrarnos, encontramos al otro. Y en el otro, somos uno.

I like to mix the ludic with the artistic.
Many times, words are not enough to express what we feel or think.
So, we need images.
Through active meditation, which is done by cutting out images and gluing them on a blank sheet of paper, we remember who we are.

The activities we choose to do, the books we choose to read, the people we choose to talk to, are mirrors,
that reflect our own being, our search.
reflect our own selves, our search. And in the other, we are one.

PULSO es conexión con la vida, es un proceso que nos saca del aburrimiento y nos conecta con la felicidad. Es una herramienta para volver a soñar como cuando éramos niños.

PULSO (Pulse) is a connection with life, it is a process that takes us out of boredom and connects us with happiness. It is a tool to dream again as when we were children.

PULSO es imaginación, creatividad y expresión. Es un collage que dice más de nosotros de lo que las palabras nos permiten decir y es ahí viendo nuestro retrato como un objeto tangible donde podemos tener mayor claridad sobre quienés somos, el ritmo que nos moviliza, las metas que queremos alcanzar y los sueños que queremos soñar.

PULSO es un hilo que conecta la razón con el corazón.

PULSO (Pulse) is imagination, creativity and expression. It is a collage that says more about us than words allow us to say and it is there by seeing our portrait as a tangible object where we can have more clarity about who we are, the rhythm that moves us, the goals we want to achieve and the dreams we want to dream.

PULSO (Pulse) is a string that connects the reason with the heart.
