Mara Parra y Victoria Benaim se conocieron mientras estudiaban Administración de Empresas en la Universidad de San Andrés y compartieron una materia llamada Entrepreneurship. Un trabajo práctico fue el punto de partida que encendió la chispa creativa y las impulsó a imaginar algo propio.

Estas dos chicas súper poderosas crearon hace 12 años FERA una marca que es el resultado de combinar su pasión por el arte, la literatura y el tarot y que hoy es sinónimo de contenido, sensibilidad, diseño y belleza.

Mara Parra and Victoria Benaim met while studying Business Administration at the University of San Andrés and shared a subject called Entrepreneurship. A workshop was the starting point that ignited the creative spark and encouraged them to imagine something of their own.

These two super powerful girls created FERA 12 years ago, a brand that is the result of combining their passion for art, literature and tarot and that today is synonymous with content, sensitivity, design and beauty.

FERA ofrece una amplia variedad de productos que incluyen agendas, cuadernos, libros, planners, tazas, cartucheras, tote bags, carpetas, cuadros, lapiceras, imanes y stickers. Cada uno de estos objetos está diseñado con una estética única que abarca universos florales, esotéricos, viajeros, minimalistas y girl power.

FERA offers a wide variety of products including notebooks, books, planners, mugs, pencil cases, tote bags, folders, frames, pens, magnets and stickers. Each of these objects is designed with a unique aesthetic that includes floral, esoteric, traveler, minimalist and girl power universes.

Cada uno de sus productos está acompañado por ilustraciones e intervenciones de mujeres artistas que suman su magia y una mirada personal a cada proyecto. Las ilustraciones, los colores, las frases, están cuidadosamente pensadas. FERA se convirtió en una editorial/tienda/academia/experiencia que se reconoce al instante apenas ves alguno de sus productos en alguna librería o papelería.

Entre las propuestas editoriales de FERA, se destacan dos clásicos reeditados en una colección especial: Una habitación propia de Virginia Woolf y Frankenstein de Mary Shelley, ambos con ilustraciones originales y valiosas notas de lectura que enriquecen la experiencia del texto. A estos títulos se suma Dantescas, una antología curada por la escritora María Fernanda Ampuero y también ilustrada que reúne doce cuentos de terror escritos por mujeres de distintas épocas y lugares del mundo occidental. Son verdaderos libros-objeto para coleccionar.

Each of its products is accompanied by illustrations and interventions of women artists who add their magic and a personal look to each project. The illustrations, the colors, the phrases, are carefully thought out. FERA has become a publishing house/store/academy/experience that is instantly recognizable as soon as you see one of its products in a bookstore or stationery store.

Among FERA’s publishing proposals are two classics republished in a special collection: Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own and Mary Shelley‘s Frankenstein, both with original illustrations and valuable reading notes that enrich the experience of the text. In addition to these titles is Dantescas, an anthology curated by writer María Fernanda Ampuero and also illustrated, which brings together twelve horror stories written by women from different periods and places in the Western world. These are true collector’s books.

Fue uno de esos encuentros mágicos: entre cartas de tarot, poesía y una charla cálida en el patio de la librería lleno de flores y cosas ricas. I was fortunate to meet Vicky and Mara in December last year, at the beautiful JB Libros https://www.instagram.com/jblibros/ bookstore, during an activity called Poetry and Oracles. It was one of those magical encounters: between tarot cards, poetry and a warm chat in the courtyard of the bookstore full of flowers and delicious things. I want to thank Ana Kerman, from Tintha Store https://www.instagram.com/tintha_store/(another place I love) who was the great Fairy Godmother that made this meeting possible.

Este año, FERA tuvo su propio stand en la Feria del Libro de Buenos Aires, decorado con esa combinación de encanto, cuidado estético y un toque de magia que caracteriza cada uno de sus proyectos.

This year, FERA had its own stand at the Buenos Aires Book Fair, decorated with that combination of charm, aesthetic care and a touch of magic that characterizes each of its projects.
