Every Tuesday at 7 p.m., for the past eight years, Michelle’s voice marks the start of trivia night at Caps & Taps https://www.instagram.com/capsntapscamas, a brewery located on 4th Avenue in Downtown Camas.

I join whenever I can, and there’s something that makes it truly special: Michelle is not only the host, but she personally prepares the questions each week, including a special category
chosen by the previous week’s winning team.

It’s dynamic, fast-paced, and fun. What stands out most to me, though, is the sense of community it creates. Some teams show up almost every week, and at the same time there’s always room for newcomers who simply want to share an evening of games, conversation and good beer 🍻

Todos los martes a las 7 p. m., desde hace ocho años, la voz de Michelle marca el inicio de la noche de trivia en Caps & Taps https://www.instagram.com/capsntapscamas, una cervecería situada en la 4th Avenue, en el centro de Camas.

Participo siempre que puedo, y hay algo que lo hace realmente especial: Michelle no solo es la anfitriona, sino que prepara personalmente las preguntas cada semana, incluida una categoría especial
elegida por el equipo ganador de la semana anterior.

Todo es dinámico, ágil y divertido. A mi lo que más me llama la atención es el sentido de comunidad que crea. Algunos equipos participan casi todas las semanas, pero al mismo tiempo siempre hay espacio para los nuevos que simplemente desean compartir una noche de juegos, conversación y buena cerveza 🍻.

Caps & Taps has been part of Camas for 13 years, and Michelle has been the owner since 2018. She decided to start her own project two years after moving to Washington with her husband, and she quickly fell in love with Downtown Camas.

Caps & Taps lleva 13 años formando parte de Camas, y Michelle es la propietaria desde 2018. Decidió poner en marcha su propio proyecto dos años después de mudarse al estado de Washington con su marido, y donde se enamoró del centro de Camas.

The space is constantly reinventing itself. They organize themed trivia nights in collaboration with the Camas Liberty Theatre — such as Halloween or Christmas editions — where a movie is screened and followed by a special trivia. There are also art events, like the gathering with artist Anna Norris, live performances, a book club, Drag Bingo, cheese-and-beer pairing
events with Camas Cheese Company, and even a chili cook-off.

El espacio se reinventa en forma constante. Organizan noches temáticas de trivia en colaboración con el Camas Liberty Theatre, como ediciones de Halloween o Navidad, en las que se proyecta una película seguida de un trivia especial. También hay eventos artísticos, como la reunión con la artista Anna Norris, actuaciones en directo, un club de lectura, Drag Bingo, eventos de maridaje de queso y cerveza con Camas Cheese Company e incluso un concurso de recetas de chili.

More than a brewery, it’s a gathering place where something is always happening. Michelle, together with Jeni and her team, thoughtfully creates events that offer both locals and visitors a space to celebrate life and strengthen community connections.

Más que una cervecería, es un lugar de reunión donde siempre hay algo que hacer. Michelle, junto con Jeni y su equipo, crea cuidadosamente eventos que ofrecen tanto a los locales como a los visitantes un espacio para celebrar la vida y fortalecer los lazos comunitarios.
