Hace unos años, mientras estaba de viaje, durante algún tiempo muerto o de espera, se me ocurrió dibujar lo que veía 🙂

Some time ago, while I was traveling, during some waiting time, it occurred to me to draw what I saw 🙂

De repente me encontré dibujando distintos lugares y en distintos momentos y me dí cuenta que al dibujar las cosas uno recuerda ese momento de manera distinta, más vívida. Además de prestar mucha más atención a los detalles de formas y colores.

Suddenly I found myself drawing different places and at different times, and I realized that when drawing things I remember that moment in a different, more vivid way. In addition, I was paying much more attention to the details of shapes and colors.

La técnica que uso para pintar es la acuarela por su facilidad para transportarla; y me encanta la mezcla de los colores y los resultados que produce.

The technique I use to paint is watercolor because it is easy to transport; and I love the results that the mixture of colors produces.

Un poco esta costumbre se volvió algo necesario para cada viaje, el cuaderno de dibujo y la cartuchera ya es algo que no puede faltar en el armado del bolso. Y los dibujos son como postales que me vuelven a transportar a cada lugar.

This habit became something necessary for every trip, the sketchbook and the pencil bag are things that can not be missing when I pack my travelling bag. And the drawings are like postcards that transport me back to each place.

Me divierte dibujar in situ. Las personas y las cosas mutan a cada momento y eso genera un movimiento que me gusta en los dibujos. 

I enjoy drawing in situ. People and things change all the time and generate a movement that I like in my drawings.

Cuando no viajaba, no dibujaba. Un día me propuse salir a captar imágenes en mi ciudad. Entonces ocurrió algo muy curioso, la sensación de viaje la pude encontrar dibujando una plaza que de repente miraba de otra manera, las casas tenían un montón de detalles interesantes que tal vez antes pasaban desapercibidos ante mis ojos. Además empecé a retratar a las personas que conozco y que quiero. Y la cotidianidad se hizo ARTE.

When I was not travelling, I didn’t draw. One day I decided to go out , walk my city and capture images. Then something fantastic happened, I could find the sensation of travelling by drawing a park that suddenly I looked differently or discovered that the houses had a lot of interesting details that perhaps previously went unnoticed for my eyes. Besides I have been portraying the people I know and love. And everyday life became ART.

Quiero hacer un reconocimiento especial para mi mamá, la creadora del blog que desde chiquita me regaló cuadernos y libretas de todas las formas y tamaños posibles.

I want to give a special recognition to my mother, the creator of the blog who, since I was little, gave me sketbooks and notebooks of all possible shapes and sizes.
