¿Te pasó alguna vez que tenías un plan pensado desde hacía varios días, estabas lista o listo para salir y en ese último momento, con las llaves en mano te cancelaron?

Have you ever had a plan in mind for several days, you were ready to go out and at the last moment, with the keys in hand, your friend canceled it?

Seguramente si porque los imponderables ocurren; el tema es cuál es tu reacción frente a ese momento. En mi caso, en un estilo muy sagitariano, tengo dos reacciones absolutamente opuestas que dependen del día: me quedo en casa o invento un plan sobre la marcha para volver a salir 😉 . Como el día estaba ideal soleado pero no caluroso sentí que era una invitación a dejar la comodidad de mi hogar.

I am pretty sure that yes because imponderables happen; the issue is what is your reaction to that moment. In my case, in a very Sagittarian style, I have two absolutely opposite reactions that depend on the day: I stay at home or I invent a plan to go out again 😉 . As the day was ideally sunny but not hot I felt it was an invitation to leave the comfort of my home.

Agarré «la machina» y decidí darme una vuelta por San Telmo, uno de los barrios más visitados por turistas y también argentinos especialmente los fines de semana cuando tiene lugar la feria donde podes ver una gran cantidad de artesanos y las antigüedades en los negocios. Como te comenté éste fue un plan de último momento así que era un día de semana, lo que me pareció fantástico para sacar mejores fotos.

Sin embargo, había otros planes en mi futuro, cuando llegué a la Plaza Dorrego y mientras estacionaba una persona se acercó a decirme que una de las gomas del auto estaba baja y muy gentilmente me ofreció su ayuda.

I took «la machina» and decided to take a walk around San Telmo, one of the most visited neighborhoods by tourists and also Argentines especially on weekends when the fair takes place where you can see a lot of artisans and antiques in the stores. As I told you this was a last minute plan so it was a weekday, which I thought was great to take better pictures.

However, there were other plans in my future, when I arrived at Plaza Dorrego and while I was parking a person came up to tell me that one of the tires of the car was low and very kindly offered me his help.

Le agradecí, llamé a mis ángeles de la guarda del ACA (Automóvil Club Argentino) y me di cuenta que esa persona era un artista… imaginate mi emoción.

Así que te presento a Pablo Cassullo @cassullopablo quien es dibujante y junto con su esposa Gladys (fotógrafa) @gladys_mabel_blanco tienen un puesto de fotografías y dibujos en la Plaza Dorrego. Conversamos y me hizo compañía hasta que llegó el auxilio mecánico.

I thanked him, called my guardian angels from the ACA (Automóvil Club Argentino) and realized that this person was an artist… imagine my excitement.

So let me introduce you to Pablo Cassullo @cassullopablo who is a cartoonist and together with his wife Gladys (photographer) @gladys_mabel_blanco have a photo and drawing stand in Plaza Dorrego. We chatted and he kept me company until the mechanical help arrived.

No pude hacer exactamente lo que tenía pensado por San Telmo pero surgió algo inesperado y a la vez divertido, que si no hubiera estado en buena sintonía me lo hubiese perdido.

Vuelvo a reflexionar que necesitamos estar abiertos para que nos pasen cosas inesperadas y poder disfrutarlas 🙂

I wasn’t able to do exactly what I had planned for San Telmo but something unexpected and at the same time fun came up that if I hadn’t been in the right mood I would have missed.

I think again that we need to be open for unexpected things to happen to us and enjoy them 🙂
