Algo que me gusta y disfruto de esta sección Amigas y Amigos Artistas es de tener la posibilidad de conocer a personas con diferentes talentos artísticos de las cuales siempre aprendo algo nuevo cuando aceptan participar de este proyecto.

La propuesta de hoy es muy particular porque Karina Azaretzky de Historias en Verde nos guía a explorar el arte efímero en la naturaleza, más específicamente en el paisaje urbano. Una nueva invitación a mirar con más detenimiento y curiosidad los árboles y flores que tenemos alrededor y que muchas veces pasamos por alto por estar en piloto automático.

Karina propuso para nuestra charla encontrarnos en el Museo Larreta en el barrio de Belgrano porque tiene un patio andaluz y donde en este momento del año las glicinas son las protagonistas. Si no lo conoces te invito a que lo visites y disfrutes de ese oasis en el medio de la ciudad 🙂

Something I like and enjoy about this section Artistic Friends is having the possibility to meet people with different artistic talents from whom I always learn something new when they agree to participate in this project.

Today’s theme is very particular because Karina Azaretzky from Historias en Verde guides us to explore the ephemeral art in nature, more specifically in the urban landscape. A new invitation to take a closer and curious look at the trees and flowers that we have around us and that we often overlook because we are on automatic, not paying attention in what we have around us.

Karina proposed for our chat to meet at the Larreta Museum in Belgrano neighborhood because it has an Andalusian patio and where at this time of the year the wisteria are the stars. If you don’t know it, I invite you to visit it and enjoy this oasis in the middle of the city 🙂

Karina nació en Tucumán (una provincia del norte argentino) donde estudió la Licenciatura en artes plásticas y comenzó sus primeros pasos en la fotografía.

Desde hace diez años, un poco por formación y mucho por amor 🙂 , la vida la trajo a vivir a Buenos Aires. Fue algo complicada la adaptación durante el primer año con tantos contrastes entre su ciudad natal con mucha naturaleza alrededor y tanto cemento en el nuevo lugar de residencia. Ella recuerda el primer invierno, donde se hacía de noche temprano y donde sentía que faltaba la luz. Al vivir en ese momento cerca del Jardín Botánico empezó a visitarlo con su cámara y estas fueron sus fotos, que vistas ahora en perspectiva ella dice que con su arte buscó reflejar la búsqueda de pequeños rayitos de luz entre tanta oscuridad.

Karina was born in Tucumán (a province in the north of Argentina) where she studied a degree in plastic arts and began her first steps in photography.

Ten years ago, a little by training and a lot by love 🙂 , life brought her to live in Buenos Aires. It was a bit complicated the adjustment during the first year with so many contrasts between her hometown with a lot of nature around and so much cement in the new place of residence. She remembers the first winter, where it was getting dark early and she felt the light was missing. Living at that time near the Botanical Garden she began to visit it with her camera and these were her photos, which seen now in perspective she says that with her art she sought to reflect the search for small rays of light among so much darkness.

El Jardín Botánico, la Reserva Ecológica y Los lagos de Palermo fueron los primeros lugares donde salió a buscar y  reencontrarse con algunos de los colores de Tucumán.

The Botanical Garden, the Ecological Reserve and the Palermo Lakes were the first places where he went to look for and meet again some of the colors of Tucumán.

Karina también es profesora de historia del arte y hace unos años comenzó a profundizar en el tema de las flores y los jardines en la pintura. Esto derivó en una serie de cursos, que al principio fueron presenciales y durante la pandemia los transformó en un formato online. Si bien confiesa que al principio tenía miedo de perder el contacto personal, luego se dio cuenta que no sólo no se perdió sino que además pudo llegar a muchas más personas de otras provincias y países, que en otras circunstancias no hubiera podido acceder a ellos. 

Karina is also a professor of art history and a few years ago she began to explore the theme of flowers and gardens in painting. This led to a series of courses, which at first were face-to-face and during the pandemic she transformed them into an online format. Although she confesses that at first she was afraid of losing personal contact, she later realized that not only did she not lose it, but she was also able to reach many more people from other provinces and countries, who otherwise would not have been able to access them.

En noviembre del año pasado participé en la ceremonia del Hanami del jacarandá que es la observación de la caída de sus flores. Esta actividad la organiza hace muchos años la artista Cristina Coroleu @cristinacoroleu, quien tomó esta tradición milenaria japonesa y la trajo a Buenos Aires para replicarla con nuestros árboles nativos. Desde el 2021 Karina la acompaña en la organización, y próximamente se realizará un nuevo encuentro, bajo la copa de los lapachos.

Last November I participated in the Hanami ceremony of the jacaranda tree, which is the observation of the fall of its flowers. This activity has been organized for many years by the artist Cristina Coroleu @cristinacoroleu, who took this ancient Japanese tradition and brought it to Buenos Aires to replicate it with our native trees. Since 2021 Karina accompanies her in the organization, and soon a new meeting will be held under the canopy of the lapacho trees.

Uno de los lugares casi obligados para ver naturaleza es el Delta del Tigre donde Karina realizó varias visitas junto a Verónica  de @entremuelles. La novedad es que el sábado 24 de septiembre organizarán juntas una salida fotográfica en una de las islas; así que si te interesa esta actividad contacta con entremuelles@gmail.com

One of the mandatory places to see nature is the Delta del Tigre where Karina made several visits with Verónica from @entremuelles.
